Restroom planning for Cruisin' the Coast
Cruisin' the Coast restroom planning starts weeks before the first show car rolls in. This guide helps vendors, businesses, churches and homeowners near the routes size, place and book units.
When is Cruisin' the Coast, and why do restrooms book up?
Cruisin' the Coast 2026 ran October 4–11, its 30th year. The 2025 event drew 10,334 registered cars, according to WLOX. With host sites from Waveland to Moss Point, every vendor lot and church parking lot needs restrooms in the same week, so units book up early.
The hub is Cruise Central at Jones Park in Gulfport. Host sites stretch the length of the Coast. They include the Coast Coliseum, Edgewater Mall and casino lots in Biloxi, and the Scarlet Pearl and Auto Mall Parkway in D'Iberville. Downtown Ocean Springs, Bay St. Louis and Pass Christian also host. So do Beach Park in Pascagoula, Long Beach, Gautier, Moss Point, Diamondhead, Waveland and Gulfport Dragway.
The 2026 cruise just wrapped. Now is a good time to note what ran short this year and plan for next October.
Who needs to rent restrooms during Cruisin' week?
Four groups rent restrooms during Cruisin' week: food and parts vendors, businesses that open their lots to show cars, churches selling plates, and homeowners hosting watch parties along the routes. Each one has guests for many hours and few indoor bathrooms to share. One rented unit keeps a crowd out of your building.
Official cruise venues are arranged by the event organizers. This guide is for people hosting on their own property. Planning a public event on city land? Read the event permit restroom guide first. Events on Ocean Springs city property must use the city's contracted vendor, so we serve private lots there. See the Ocean Springs page for details.
How many porta potties does a Cruisin' week lot need?
A multi-day lot needs 1 unit per 30 guests per day, or fewer units plus a mid-event service visit. Add 1 unit for each full 100 guests when alcohol is served. Add 1 hand-wash station for every 4 toilets when food is sold. Every cluster needs at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit.
| Your lot | Guests per day | Toilets | Extras |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small shop lot, no food | 60 | 2 | 1 wheelchair-accessible among them |
| Church plate sale, 3 days | 90 | 3 | 1 hand-wash station |
| Vendor row with beer tent | 200 | 7 + 2 for alcohol = 9 | 3 hand-wash stations, 1 accessible unit |
Run your own numbers with the porta potty calculator. If food is on the menu, pair toilets with hand-washing station rental.

How far ahead should you book restrooms for Cruisin' the Coast?
Book standard units 1–2 weeks before Cruisin' week and restroom trailers 3–4 weeks before. Next-day delivery is normal the rest of the year, but this week fills our trucks. Event units arrive the day before your event and leave the next business day, at no extra charge.
An event rental is a flat price for up to 7 days, with delivery and pickup included. The cruise itself runs longer than a week, so tell us your exact first and last day. Longer stays are priced on the quote.
Multi-unit orders get one delivery charge, so a host who needs 4 units pays for one trip, not four.
Free cancellation runs up to 24 hours before delivery. That makes it safe to reserve early and adjust the count later. For the full unit list, see event porta potty rental.
Where should restrooms go on a busy cruise route?
Put restrooms on firm, level ground where our truck can park within about 25 feet. During Cruisin' week, side streets fill with show cars by mid-morning. Set the spot before delivery day, keep it away from the car display, and leave a clear lane for the service truck.
- Place units at the back or side of the lot, not between show cars.
- Face doors away from food lines and toward a walking path.
- Mark the spot with a cone or text us a photo. You do not need to be there.
- Ask for a morning delivery window so the truck beats the traffic.
Hosts in Biloxi often have the tightest lots. The Biloxi porta potty page covers local permit rules and delivery times.
Cruisin' week restroom questions
Can I keep a porta potty for the whole Cruisin' week?
A unit can stay the whole week. Event pricing is flat for up to 7 days, and the itemized quote prices any extra days. Tell us your first and last day when you book.
Will you clean the units in the middle of Cruisin' week?
Event units arrive clean and stocked, with no mid-rental cleaning unless you add it. For a busy multi-day lot, add an extra service visit so the units stay fresh through the weekend.
Do I need a permit to put a porta potty in my store's parking lot for the cruise?
Units on your own private lot usually need no restroom permit. A public event on city land is different, and each city sets its own rules. Check with your city before you plan a public gathering.
How much does a porta potty cost for Cruisin' week?
A standard unit for an event typically runs about $150–$225 for up to 7 days, with delivery and pickup included. A hand-wash station typically runs about $100–$175. Prices move with dates and distance, so the written quote is the number that counts.
Can you deliver on the Saturday of the cruise?
Deliveries run Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Cruise-week Saturdays are crowded, so we drop event units the day before. Call (228) 261-9696 as early as you can.
