How many porta potties do you need for a party or festival?
Count guests and hours. Plan 1 unit per 50 guests for up to 4 hours, 1 per 40 for 4–8 hours, and 1 per 30 per day for longer events. Add 1 unit for each full 100 guests when alcohol is served. A 200-guest, 6-hour party with a bar needs 7 units.
| Event | Guests and hours | Toilets | Wheelchair-accessible | Hand-wash stations |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Backyard birthday, food, no bar | 30 guests, 4 hours | 1 | Add 1 if a guest needs it | 1 |
| Church fish fry, no alcohol | 120 guests, 5 hours | 3 | 1 | 1 |
| Tailgate or party with a bar | 200 guests, 6 hours | 7 | 1 | 2 |
| 2-day festival with beer and food | 1,000 guests per day | 44 | 3 | 11 |
Run your own numbers in the porta potty calculator. For a public event, at least 1 unit in each cluster should be a wheelchair-accessible porta potty.
When is an event porta potty delivered and picked up?
Event units arrive the day before your event and leave the next business day, at no extra charge. A Saturday party gets its units on Friday. A Sunday church picnic gets them Saturday, with pickup Monday. The driver calls about 30 minutes ahead, and you do not need to be home.
- Deliveries run Monday–Saturday, 7 a.m.–7 p.m. You can request a morning window.
- Mark the spot with a cone, flag or ribbon, or text us a photo.
- The flat event price covers up to 7 days, so an early drop costs nothing extra.
Does an event porta potty at a public park need a lock?
A free lock and hasp come with any unit on request, and we suggest one for any park or open lot where the unit sits overnight. Locking keeps the inside clean and stocked before guests arrive. Damage beyond normal use, such as tipping or vandalism, is the renter's responsibility.
Unlock the unit, or tell us the combination, before the pickup day so the driver can pump it before loading.
Can units be serviced during a multi-day event?
Event units arrive clean and stocked, but they are not cleaned during the rental unless you add service. For a 2- or 3-day festival, add 1 mid-event service visit per day of heavy use. Each visit pumps, cleans, restocks paper and sanitizer, and refills hand-wash water.
Summer heat speeds up odor. For a July event, schedule the visit early in the morning before gates open. A mid-event visit can also replace extra units: 1 unit per 30 guests per day, or fewer units with service between days. Pair the toilets with hand-washing stations when food is sold.

Does a Gulfport event permit ask how many porta potties you have?
The City of Gulfport public event permit application requires restroom facilities. The form asks how many portable toilets you will provide and how many are wheelchair-accessible. Size the order first, then copy the counts onto the permit, so the numbers on paper match what arrives.
Download the Gulfport public event permit application. Biloxi, Pass Christian and Ocean Springs have their own rules and lead times; see the Gulf Coast event restroom permit guide. Holding an event in Biloxi? Its form also asks for your restroom company's setup and pickup times.
Which Gulfport events book porta potties up fast?
Four Gulfport events tie up trucks and units: the Krewe of Gemini Mardi Gras parade, the Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo, Cruisin' the Coast and the Harbor Lights Winter Festival. Book event units 1–2 weeks ahead for those weekends, and restroom trailers 3–4 weeks ahead.
| Event | When | Where | Book units by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Krewe of Gemini Mardi Gras parade | Mid-February (Feb 14 in 2026) | Downtown Gulfport | 1–2 weeks ahead; trailers 3–4 weeks |
| Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo | July 4th weekend (July 2–5 in 2026) | Jones Park | 1–2 weeks ahead |
| Cruisin' the Coast | Early October (Oct 4–11 in 2026) | Jones Park hub, plus stops along the Coast | 1–2 weeks ahead; earlier for car-show lots |
| Harbor Lights Winter Festival | Nov 27, 2026 – Jan 2, 2027 | Jones Park | 1–2 weeks ahead for side events and parties |
Hosting a car-show lot or a vendor tent during Cruisin'? The Cruisin' the Coast restroom planning post covers counts and placement for crowds that move all day.
Event porta potty questions
Can you service all the units mid-event, between days?
Every unit on the order can get a mid-event service visit for an added charge. The driver pumps, cleans and restocks each unit, usually early in the morning before your gates open. Ask for it when you book so it is on the route.
Does the event one come with a lock? It'll be in a public park overnight.
A lock and hasp are free on request. Ask for one when you book, and leave the unit unlocked or share the combination before pickup day.
My event is Saturday. Can you deliver Saturday morning and pick up Sunday?
Saturday events get their units on Friday, and pickup is the next business day, Monday. We avoid same-morning drops because a driver cannot promise an exact minute, and you do not want a truck backing in while guests arrive.
Is there an extra charge for dropping it off early or leaving it over the weekend?
The early drop and the weekend stay cost nothing extra. The event price is flat for up to 7 days, with delivery and pickup included.
It's just for a few hours. Do you rent by the hour?
Rentals are not priced by the hour. A standard event unit typically runs about $150–$225 for up to 7 days, with delivery and pickup included. That range is typical, not a promise; the quote lists every line before you pay.
Will one be enough for about 30 people?
One standard unit covers about 30 guests at a party of up to 8 hours. Add a second unit if the party runs all day or there is a keg.
Can I add another unit if more people RSVP?
Call (228) 261-9696 as soon as the count goes up. Extra units can be added to the same delivery while the truck has room, and they share one delivery charge.
Can I get a formal quote emailed for our church board to approve?
Every quote is itemized and can be emailed to whoever approves the spending. Billing can go to a different person than the event contact. Tax-exempt churches and nonprofits should send their certificate.
