What comes with a hand washing station rental?

Each hand washing station has 2 sinks, one on each side, so 2 people wash at once. Foot pumps run the water, so hands stay off the handles. A 22-gallon fresh-water tank feeds the sinks. Soap and paper towels are stocked before delivery, and no hose or power is needed.

How many hand washing stations does a Gulfport event need?

Plan 1 hand washing station for every 4 toilets when food is served, with a minimum of 1. A fish fry with 8 porta potties needs 2 stations. Put stations near the food line and the toilets. Without food, toilets with sanitizer can be enough, but guests notice when there is no sink.

Our method: 1 station per 4 toilets when food is served, minimum 1. Uses are the manufacturer figure per fill.

How long does one fill of water last?

One 22-gallon fill gives nearly 350 hand washes, per the manufacturer. That is enough for most 1-day parties of 150 guests or fewer. A busy festival or a 2-day event can run the tank dry. Add a service visit to refill fresh water, empty the 24-gallon gray tank and restock soap.

Monthly stations on job sites get a refill and restock at each weekly service visit. Call (228) 261-9696 if a crew drains the tank early.

Add a hand-wash station to your order

One delivery charge covers toilets and stations on the same order.

Does OSHA require a hand washing station on a construction site?

OSHA rule 29 CFR 1926.51(f) requires washing facilities on construction sites where workers handle paint, coatings, herbicides, insecticides or other harmful contaminants. The stations must sit near the work area. Painters, roofers and concrete crews often fall under this rule. Weekly service keeps the water and soap stocked.

Read the full rule at OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51 on eCFR. Toilet counts for your crew are on the construction porta potty rental page.

What do farm crews need for hand washing?

OSHA rule 1928.110 applies when 11 or more workers do hand labor in the field on the same day. The farm must provide 1 toilet and 1 hand washing facility for every 20 workers. Both must sit within a quarter-mile walk. The rule does not apply when field work lasts 3 hours or less.

Read the rule at OSHA 29 CFR 1928.110. We can set a toilet and a station side by side and move them as the crew moves, on a service visit.

Hand-wash station questions

Do I need to hook the hand-wash station up to a hose?

The hand-wash station needs no hose and no power. We fill the 22-gallon fresh-water tank before delivery, and foot pumps move the water.

Is the water hot?

The water is not heated. It comes from the station's fresh-water tank. In Gulf Coast summers the water is usually warm from the air temperature.

Can I rent just a hand-wash station without a toilet?

A hand-wash station can be rented on its own, for example for a food booth near a building with restrooms. Delivery and pickup are on the same itemized quote.

How much does a hand washing station rental cost?

A hand-wash station for an event typically runs about $100–$175, with delivery and pickup included. That is a typical range; your itemized quote is the final price.

Where does the dirty water go?

Used water drains into a separate 24-gallon gray tank inside the station. We pump the gray tank at pickup or at a service visit. Please do not dump it on the ground.

Does the health department require a hand-wash station for my food booth?

Food booth rules come from the health department and the event organizer, not from us. Ask them what they require. Many ask for a sink near the food line, and our station has 2.
